SUSAN FERRIER Designer Susan Ferrier, best known for creating sensuous, wonderfully atmospheric spaces, recently launched her signature design firm, Susan Ferrier Interiors. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Susan previously partnered with McAlpine, an AD100 architecture and design firm founded by architect Bobby McAlpine where she had spent the previous 18 years creating romantic and sensual interiors. 

Susan’s work for McAlpine has been recognized nationally in numerous prestigious publications including Architectural Digest, ELLE DÉCOR, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and British House & Garden among others. In 2015, VERANDA featured Susan’s own home with a multi-page editorial in their March/April issue describing it as “an atmosphere of intrigue and wonder,” and a special feature on Susan’s closet appeared in the January/February 2017 issue. In addition, the bedroom Susan designed for Kips Bay Decorator Show House appeared in the New York Times.

Rizzoli Publications published Susan’s first book, Art of the House, which was co-authored with Bobby McAlpine In 2014 followed by Poetry of Place, a book of McAlpine architecture and interiors released in the fall of 2017.

Susan and her husband, Adrian, a native of New Zealand spend their free time either traveling or planning the next trip, so much so that their passports read like the table of contents of National Geographic.
